The Year in Review
1.) What did you do in 2008 that you've never done before?
Almost had a heart attack watching Radiohead in concert and capturing it all with my camera, it was just that euphoric!
2.) Did you keep your New Year's resolutions?
My resolution was to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I did and I lost 35 pounds in the process.
3.) Did anyone close to you give birth?
No one.
4.) Did anyone close to you die?
Thank goodness, no.
5.) What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
I'd like to have more leisure time, a vacation would be nice.
6.) What did you do on vacation?
I didn’t take a proper
vacation but I did manage to plan a weekend getaway to Cumberland Falls
in celebration of our 5th wedding anniversary.
7.) What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The day my ties were officially broken with my father's family.
8.) What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Losing weight and learning to run.
9.) What was your biggest failure?
Not being properly prepared for a blow to my finances.
10.) Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nope.
11.) What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Jon being accepted into Architecture School.
12.) What was the best thing you bought?
A tempurpedic mattress.
13.) Where did most of your money go?
Mortgage & Student Loans (which will be the case for eternity)
14.) What song will always remind you of 2008?
Jigsaw falling into place

16.) How did you spend Christmas?
With spent three days in the suburbs of St. Louis with Jon's family

Travel, Photography, Kayaking

Worrying
19.) What was your favorite month of 2008 and why?
September: Peak exercise regiment, autumn weather, Adam's Wedding, Al's block party, 5th Wedding Anniversary surprise getaway to Cumberland falls.
20.) What was your greatest musical discovery?
Beirut
21.) What concerts did you attend?
Iron & Wine, Band of Annuals, Kentucky Struts, Radiohead, Jose Gonzalez, Neva Geoffrey, These United States, The Deep Vibration, Mates of State, Englishman, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy.
22.) What was the best book you read?
Lord of the Rings.
23.) What did you want and get?
Skinny Clothes
24.) What did you want and not get?
A Nikon D90
25.) What was your favorite movie of this year?
In Bruges
26.) What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 27 and Carolyn surprised me by inviting all of my friends for dinner and drinks at Atomic Cafe. She even brought along my favorite Missy’s Pie.
27.) What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If I hadn’t been so stressed about finances.
28.) How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Well I dropped from a size 16 to a size 12, so I had to buy a bunch of new clothing. It consisted mostly of Gap Jeans and Old Navy shirts
29.) What kept you sane?
My husband, Jon, of course.
30.) Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Barack Obama
31.) What political issue stirred you the most?
Sarah Palin running for vice president, she really gave me a scare.
32.) What was a much needed change?
Moving to my new office building, ohhhh how I love it.
33.) Who did you miss?
I missed Jon, he practically lived in his Architecture Studio.
34.) Who was the best new person you met?
Retta! Who also introduced me to a handful of really great people. I’m so happy to have met her.
35.) What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If I would have taken a vacation and discovered something new.
36.) Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
Always have money in emergency savings.
